Poppy Cottage, Swanage, Dorset

Poppy Cottage is in a small terrace of Grade II Listed Purbeck stone cottages in Swanage, built mid 1800s.

The small seaside town of Swanage is in a unique part of Dorset on the Purbeck coast, with glorious sandy beaches and breathtaking coastal scenery. The gently curving bay offers safe swimming.

Purbeck's delightful mix of unspoilt coast and countryside lies within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, lined with spectacular geological features such as Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove, and Old Harry Rocks, all on the Jurassic Coast, England's first natural World Heritage Site.

Raised away from the road, Poppy cottage is ideally situated, a 10 minute downhill walk into the town and beach, and 2 minutes uphill walk behind the cottage are the start of footpaths leading to Durlston Country Park and the South West Coast Path.

Also within just a few minutes walk are excellent convenience store, pub, public swimming pool, Chinese take-away, off-licence, launderette.

The cottage is a typical cosy quarryman's cottage, two up, two down with steep stairway (with handrail) to the two upstairs bedrooms, with a rear extension housing the small kitchen and shower room.

Open outlook from the first floor to the Purbeck Hills. South facing rear garden.
